Workout for Arleigh
April 16, 2016 @ 10:00 am - 12:30 pm
If it’s been a while since you’ve hit the gym, or you’re looking for a really good reason to exercise, you should come to the Claremore Community Center on Saturday, April 16, from 10a – 12:30p and “Workout for Arleigh!” Note: You don’t even have to exercise; you can just come and be supportive!
Arleigh Williams is a Roosa student who has been battling cancer for a couple of rough years now. In an effort to assist her family with expenses, this unique fundraiser is being held. Here’s how it works:
Crossfit instructor Jillian Wells will be teaching two fun workouts (you do NOT have to be in tiptop shape and you don’t have to know anything about Crossfit, either!), one at 10:15a and the other at 11a. All fitness levels are welcome, and the workouts aren’t necessarily Crossfit-ish. (If you do want to work out, show up about 10 minutes early so you can sign a waiver.) There is no set cost to participate, but a $10 donation would be greatly appreciated.
There will be a FREE bounce house for the kiddos and tons of concessions for sale, like hot dogs, cotton candy, popcorn, chips, and more. T-shirts will be for sale based on Arleigh’s favorite Dr. Who character and her love of bowties. Shirts are available for pre-sale for $20, and youth sizes are $17.
There will be a raffle drawing at 11:30a, and you must be present to win. You won’t want to leave anyway, because this is going to be fun! Some of the prizes include Rustic Cuff, gift cards, Bath & Body Works products, massages…all kinds of good stuff!
The Claremore Community Center is located at 2301 N. Sioux.
All proceeds will go to Arleigh Williams and her family.
