National Night Out

August 2 @ 6:30 pm - 8:30 pm

The Claremore Police Department, Volunteers for Youth, and the Healthy Community Partnership are hosting the “Back to School Bash at National Night Out” on Tuesday, August 2nd, from 6:30-8:30 pm at the Claremore Lake Park Splash Pad. Local organizations will give away free school supplies and family resource information. There will be several family-friendly activities including live music, fun and play features for the children, free drinks, sno-cones, and free pizza. Claremore Police Officers will be on-hand to answer any questions and to interact with anyone interested in promoting safety and security within our community. During the daytime hours (8 AM to NOON & 1-6 PM) on the same date, free school immunizations will be provided at the Rogers County Health Department.

“National Night Out is a nationally-led campaign that promotes police-community partnerships. Our hope is that the result will be an enhanced relationship between community members and our law enforcement officers,” said Claremore Police Chief, Stan Brown. “Engaging community is the prism this concept is reflected through,” added Chief Brown.

Attendees will park at the rodeo grounds and the parking lot adjacent to the splash pad will be reserved for handicap parking.

Live music will be provided by The Roy Weathers Band with the ROSCO Fun Center band playing prior to the main performance. Sponsors for the event include the City of Claremore, the CPD Chaplains, the Citizens Police Academy, Healthy Community Partnership, Volunteers for Youth’s PAL+ Program, and the TSET Healthy Living Program of Rogers County.
