How to be Bankable

ONABEN-Our Native American Business Network will conduct a series of entrepreneurial workshops for Native Americans interested in starting or expanding their small business. The first of eight workshops will be held on Tuesday, November 18th,  at the Rogers State University Innovation Center from 4:00 – 6:00 pm.

Mary Burchett, Vice President at Bank of America’s Small Business Banking division, presents the workshop. Mary has more than 20 years banking and currently serves on the Cherokee loan committee assisting Cherokee Nation SBDC in providing lending programs to Native Americans. 

The “How to be Bankable” workshop will teach attendees how to prepare and plan for getting a small business loan through both traditional lending institutions as well as the Cherokee Nation Small Business Development Center

There is no cost to attend the workshop; however, registration is required. Light refreshments will be provided.  To register, email lynn@onaben.org or call 918-624-9176.  Registration is open to both natives and non-natives.
