Hillcat Women’s Golf Ranks No. 17 In WGCA Preseason

Rogers State women’s golf ranked No. 17 in the Mizuno Women’s Golf Coaches Association Preseason Coaches Poll, the organization announced on Friday.

The Hillcats are the highest ranked MIAA team in the poll, ahead of Central Missouri (No. 21) and Central Oklahoma who received votes. They are also the second highest ranked team in the Central Region, behind only Henderson State (No. 13) and ahead of Arkansas Tech who received votes.

Last season, RSU finished No. 17 in the final WGCA Poll of the 2021-22 season after making their second-straight appearance in the NCAA Division II National Championships and racking up a new program record of six tournament victories.

The Hillcats will open the 2022-23 campaign on Monday, Sept. 12 as they travel just down the road to Catoosa, Okla. to compete at the 2022 NSU Women’s Classic at Cherokee Hills Golf Club.
