Visit Claremore Announces June Activities and Events

The kids are out of school and the summer sun is shining bright!  Claremore is an exciting place this month and we hope you can stop in and visit one of our events or even one of our many local attractions or businesses.  From museums to splash pads, Claremore has many great summer activities to offer no matter what your age is!  We encourage you to spend the day or the weekend experiencing our great community and all we have to offer!

Shepherd’s Cross is full of fun and happenings during the month of June! They start the month off with their annual Summer Barn Sale and Plant Exchange! On June 2nd, 3rd, and 4th, from 7am – 6pm, stop in and find yourself a bargain while support missions locally and around the world. You are also encouraged to bring a plant to leave and take one home. The plant exchange is a great way to expand your garden! 

On Saturday, June 11th, the Oklahoma Antique Tractor Association will be bringing antique tractors out to Shepherd’s Cross for the day! From 10am to 5pm, come out and enjoy restored antique tractors and learn about America’s rich agricultural heritage! While visiting, we encourage you to stick around and listen to some music as the annual Gospel Singing will be taking place from 1pm – 4 pm that day.  Shepherd’s Cross is an amazing place to spend the day with the family. We have a chance for you to learn a new skill at Shepherd’s Cross Fiber Fest Weekend Retreat! This three-day event is scheduled for June 16th, 17th, and 18th. At this retreat, you will learn how to process any kind of fiber. Participants will make and keep multiple projects. Registration is required to attend and fees apply. This month, Will’s Cowboy Trader Days will be June 18th from 10am – 5pm.  Come browse locally handcrafted and handmade items! Don’t leave too early though, as Family Day at the Ranch is a good one this month! From 1pm – 3pm, you can watch how baseball started with a real 19th-century baseball game. The Claremore Area Chamber of Commerce will host Restaurant Week June 20th through June 26th!  This event will showcase local eateries. From bakeries to sandwich shops, this is a great week to try something new and local! On June 23rd, visit the Lilac District in downtown Claremore for the Food Truck Thursday event. This month’s theme is the Lilac Festival and will feature food trucks, entertainment, and family fun! This event will run from 6:00 pm – 9:00 pm. On June 25th, the Claremore Expo Center will host the Indoor Flea Market.  From 8:00am until 3:00 pm, stop by and browse the variety of vendors.  From antiques to handmade candles and crafts, there is something for everyone. Visit Claremore will be at the AAA Route 66 Road Fest in Oklahoma City on June 18th and 19th at the Bennett Event Center. We will kick off Claremore 66 Days on June 20th! There are plenty of activities happening in Claremore and all along Route 66 in Rogers County during the week! From a car show at Rogers Point in Catoosa to Restaurant Week in Claremore, we hope you make plans to attend one or more of our celebratory events! We encourage you to check out our website and visit some of our wonderful Rogers County communities and all that they have to offer! We will finish out the week at the AAA Route 66 Road Fest in Tulsa at the SageNet Center on June 25th and 26th!
