Rogers State softball heard their name called Monday morning as the No. 1-seed and host of the NCAA Division II Central Regional. This is RSU’s first trip to the NCAA Postseason since making the South Central Regional in 2018.
After winning the MIAA Tournament on Sunday, the No. 6 Hillcats earned the league’s automatic qualifying bid and will host the Central Regional Tournament at the Diamond Sports Complex on Thursday, May 12 through Saturday, May 14.
The Central Region is made up of teams from the MIAA, Northern Sun Conference and Great American Conference.
The Hillcats will host Northern Sun members Minnesota State and Winona State as well as fellow MIAA team Washburn. No. 1-seed RSU will take on No. 8-seed Winona State in the first round on Thursday at 4:30 p.m. The other first round matchup will feature No. 4-seed Minnesota State facing off against No. 5-seed Washburn at 2 p.m.
The tournament will feature two games on Thursday, three game on Friday, with the Championship game on Thursday.
