Claremore Collective is bringing a fun event to town; it's the Claremore Culture Crawl! This event will give attendees a private tour of the Claremore Museum of History, as well as some recently revived downtown merchants. It's a behind-the-scenes look at Claremore! Sherri Ladd has been a teacher at Justus-Tiawah for more than 22 years. Ms. Ladd has recently been diagnosed with pancreatic cancer. Throughout the years, Ms. Ladd has touched the lives of hundreds of students and parents. She has supported and helped this community for many years. The inaugural Hillcat Fun Run, 5k and 10k is coming to Claremore on Saturday, April 1. Proceeds benefit the RSU Campus Activities Team, RSU Student Ambassador Program, and Claremore Children’s Advocacy Center. Cost is $10 for fun run, $20 for 5k, and $30 for 10k. The Claremore Museum of History will is open to the public on Saturdays from 11 am to 3 pm. They have a variety of exhibits including the “surrey with the fringe on top” used in filming Oklahoma!. The museum is located at 121 North Weenonah Avenue in the old Will Rogers Library building. This is a great opportunity to learn more about the history of our town and see some amazing artifacts. The Will Rogers Stampede folks are bringing an awesome family event to Claremore on Saturday, April 1! There will be a "Backin' the Blue" Cajun Cook-off benefitting the Stampede rodeo and Rogers County Mounted Patrol. There will be a gumbo cook-off and plenty of Cajun food for all!
