If you know Jill Moody, you know she's a super fun gal, and that she's passionate about yoga and helping others improve their fitness skills. Jill is an aerobics instructor at the Claremore Super Recreation Center, teaching cycle, energy extreme, kickboxing, and of course, yoga! She is beginning sunset yoga in the park on Friday, June 30. Claremore Band Boosters will be having a fundraiser car wash on Saturday, August 19, from 10am - 4pm in the CarMart parking lot on north Hwy 66 (821 N. Lynn Riggs). 106.9 K-Hits will be on site from 1p - 3p, so stop by and say 'hi'! Also, grab a hot dog for lunch, courtesy of CarMart! All money raised will go toward new band uniforms. The Claremore Museum of History will is open to the public on Saturdays from 11 am to 3 pm. They have a variety of exhibits including the “surrey with the fringe on top” used in filming Oklahoma!. The museum is located at 121 North Weenonah Avenue in the old Will Rogers Library building. This is a great opportunity to learn more about the history of our town and see some amazing artifacts. Last year's Sock Hop benefiting Rogers County Youth Services was so much fun, they're doing it again! It will be held at the Claremore Conference Center on Saturday, August 19, from 6p - 10p. The I Will Tri event returns to Claremore, thanks to our friends at Runners World, on Sunday, August 20. The event will feature swimming in Claremore Lake (hey, there's a bucket list item, right?), running, and cycling. Participants can choose between Sprint, Team Sprint, Olympic, or Olympic Sprint.
