Will’s Wild West Kids Camp
June 21 @ 8:30 am - 12:30 pm
After months of being confined to limited spaces, staring at screens and wondering what to do next, Will’s Wild West Kids Camp at Will Rogers Memorial Museum offers not only unique experiences but a breath of fresh air on the hillside along Will Rogers Boulevard.
Three days of activities, June 21-23, will include hands on projects for children ages 5-12 to relate to the time of Will’s youth after his Nov. 4, 1879 birth on the frontier of Indian Territory.
Reservations are required and should be made now to insure a place in the camp that will begin at 8:30 a.m. and close at 12:30 with a chuck wagon lunch. Registration is $45 per child for nonmembers of Will Rogers Memorial Museums and $30 per child for members. (See willrogers.com for member applications). Each camper will receive a cowboy hat, shirt, rope, and craft items. Registration deadline is June 13.
Added to 19th -century activities of games and crafts will be a return appearance of Cowboy Magician Doug Anderson, a hit with kids and adults alike; and storytelling, train rides, nature programs and demonstrations.
