The public is invited to attend a mayoral debate on Tuesday, March 26th, from 6pm-7pm at the Claremore Conference Center. The debate is hosted by the Claremore Collective Government Relations Crew.
The City of Claremore general municipal election will take place on April 2, 2019. The elected candidate will begin their term as mayor effective the first city council meeting of May. Candidates include sitting mayor Bill Flanagan and mayor-hopeful Kurt LeVan.
Former Oklahoma State Representative Ben Sherrer of Pryor will serve as an independent moderator for the debate. Sherrer represented District 8 from 2004 to 2016.
Claremore Collective is a young professionals organization assembled as a unifying voice to move the community forward. It’s focus is to represent the interest of young professionals and develop the next generation of leaders. The organization was founded in 2016.
The Claremore Collective Government Relations Crew works to identify and address issues that affect young professionals and the future growth of Claremore. The crew is led by Alexandra Seifried, Development Specialist at Safenet Services; Kassie McCoy, Rogers County Associate District Judge; and J.P. Seifried, Accountant at The Seifried Group, PLLC.
The Claremore Conference Center is located at the Holiday Inn Express at 1400 W. Country Club Rd. behind Walmart.
