American Finals Rodeo

An event every day that begins at 7:00pm, repeating until December 2, 2017
Visit Claremore and the Claremore Expo Center are proud to present the American Finals Rodeo, December 1, 2 and 3. Hosted by the American Cowboys Rodeo Association (ACRA) the event returns to Claremore for the second year. “We are excited to have the AFR back in Claremore”, said Tanya Andrews, director of Claremore expo & Tourism Development. “This is what the Expo Center was built for; great family friendly events that include an Oklahoma tradition…rodeos.”
Performances are Friday, December 1, and Saturday, December 2 at 7:00 pm; and Sunday, December 3 at 1:30 pm. Doors will open at 5:00 pm both Friday and Saturday, and will open on Sunday at 1:00 pm. Sunday will feature a Cowboy Church service at 10:30 followed by the Kids Rodeo at 11:30 both are free to the public with doors opening at 10 am.
To add to the excitement each performance is themed. Friday night is “Cowboys for Cops”; Saturday is “Tough Enough to Wear Pink”; and Sunday is “Honor Our Military”. Nine major events will be performed all three days, including Calf Roping, Bull Riding, Steer Roping, Bronc Riding and other favorites. Rodeo attendees can also visit the Trade Show featuring western gear, tack and more. The Trade Show will be open during all performances.
Sponsors of the American Finals Rodeo include Cherokee Casino Will Rogers Downs, Visit Claremore, Jack Kissee Ford, Stillwater Milling, Drysdales, Mid-America Farm & Ranch, TSC Tractor Supply Co.; just to name a few. “Working with the ACRA Board and Volunteers has been great. They are a group of hard working individuals who have a great passion for their association. We are honored they chose Claremore,” said Andrews.
Advance tickets are available at the Expo Center & Mid-America Farm & Ranch in Talala. Adult tickets are $10 and children ages 6-11 are $5; kids under 6 are free. An all weekend pass can be purchased for $25 at either location. Tickets can be purchased the days of the performances at the Expo box office for $12 adults, $5 for kids and $25 for the weekend pass. The box office will open at 4:30 pm on Friday and Saturday, and at 1:00 pm on Sunday.
