Habitat for Humanity ReStore Claremore opened its doors to the public for the first time in a month on Friday, Aug. 13.
Claremore Habitat for Humanity was recently absorbed by Green Country Habitat for Humanity (GCHFH), a merger that allows GCHFH to strengthen its mission in the local region. ReStore Claremore has been closed to the public since July, allowing staff to update and upgrade the facility.
The ReStore home improvement outlet received an upgraded parking lot, roof repairs, landscaping, new signage and paint. Inside, the inventory has been fully organized and updated, and the store cleaned from top to bottom. Shoppers can expect a good selection of building materials, fixtures, appliances and more.
ReStore Claremore is open Tuesday through Saturday 10 a.m. – 6 p.m. at 202 N. Owalla Ave. The store welcomes donations and offers free pickup services.
“We invite community members who have unwanted items to skip the landfill and call us,” said Cameron Walker, President and CEO of GCHFH. “We pick up, reuse and resell unneeded items. When people donate to and shop at ReStore they’re not only saving time and money, they’re helping us build more homes.”
