Shepherd’s Cross in Claremore is hosting a Fiber Fest Weekend Retreat! This is three fun-filled days of learning how to process any kind of fiber (you will use wool in this class). Lessons will include washing, dying, wet felting, carding, picking, spindling, spinning, needle felting and weaving. You’ll also learn some history of fiber arts and practical technology. Retreats are augmented by hands-on learning tools available in the Educational Farm Museum and with a collection of fiber arts from around the world.
The retreat will be August 12 – 14 from 8:30a – 3:30p each day. Class size is limited, so enroll as early as possible! Retreat fee is $179 per person. All materials will be provided. Each participant will take home several finished pieces. Beverages will be provided at breaks. Please bring a sack lunch.
