Need some great BBQ for a tailgate party? Then we have what you need! Claremore’s Reveille Rotary announces our BBQ fundraiser, in full swing now. Reveille Rotary is now taking orders for smoked BBQ meats, such as brisket, bologna, St. Louis ribs, chicken and pork loin. Orders can be picked up Saturday, October 26, from 9am to noon in the parking lot of Rogers County Courthouse.

Local Pit Masters have volunteered their time to smoke the meat, adding their award-winning touch to make the perfect entrée. “What could be better than spending a Saturday watching football, with family and friends, and great food prepared by the pros?,” said Jim Scantlin, president of Claremore Reveille Rotary. “This is a new fundraiser for our club so we are excited to partner with Walke Brothers and a group of experienced Pit Masters, local businesses, and the community to help raise money for children’s programs in Rogers County.”

It’s our mission to help local schools enhance young student education,” said Tanya Andrews, director of Visit Claremore/Claremore Expo Center, and Reveille Rotary Club member. “We use every penny of the proceeds to offer four scholarships to area seniors, purchase approximately 700 dictionaries each year to provide every 3rd grader in Rogers County with their own personalized dictionary, and we volunteer and donate to The Zone for teens, a monthly gathering of area teens at the Claremore Community Center.”

So not only are you going to get some great food, already cooked by professional and competitive Pit Masters, but you will be helping Reveille Rotary support programs in Rogers County.
