Millions of viewers gather around the TV set each week to watch American Ninja Warrior. Brittany East of Claremore is one of those viewers, but she’s taken it a step further. Brittany began training at area gyms to compete in ninja warrior contests, and she excelled at it. Now she’s brought her dream to life by opening her own gym, Iron Ninjas in Claremore.

She’s always played sports and been interested in fitness. She earned her personal training certification and opened Beast Mode Training in The Cornerstone. After quickly outgrowing the space and wanting to add more features, she opened Iron Ninjas earlier this summer.

Iron Ninjas offers activities for both adults and kids. The gym has several of the popular obstacles that you’d see on American Ninja Warrior, including the warped wall, devil steps, the pegboard, and quad steps. There’s also a rock climbing wall and some crazy tires hanging from the ceiling. (Being a person with zero upper body strength, I declined Brittany’s offer to let me try and made her demonstrate instead.) You can try the obstacles for yourself on Saturdays during Open Gym time for just $10 per person, and you can also purchase a monthly membership. Plans for Friday Teen Nights are in the works.

Birthday party packages are also available, which include 1.5 hours open play time, and half an hour for cake and presents. This is for up to 15 kids and it’s just $200! It’s something different and fun for kids.

Brittany still offers her popular boot camp classes in the early mornings and evenings. Monthly memberships are available for these, as well. You can find a class schedule on the Iron Ninjas facebook page.

Iron Ninjas is located at 900 E. Will Rogers Blvd. in Claremore, across the street from Auto Definitions. For more information, please contact Brittany via the Iron Ninjas facebook page or email ironninjas@gmx.com.
