July 14 is a busy day in Claremore; Wrestling for a Cause is having an awesomely entertaining fundraiser for Leyton Hull. Get the scoop on that HERE.
But you don’t have to wait until the afternoon to support Leyton and her family! Have breakfast at Dirty Dozen Donuts on Saturday, July 14, between 9a – 11a, and proceeds will benefit the Hull family. What better reason to eat magical donuts than to support a little Claremore unicorn? (They even have donuts called “Unicorn Tears” so that seems appropriate.)
Leyton Hull is a 3-year-old Claremore girl. She was born with a terminal brain condition called Holoprosencephaly, or HPE. Her parents, Jennifer and Arron, were told when Leyton was in utero that she wouldn’t survive until birth. Then they were told that she would make it, but likely wouldn’t take her first breath. Due to the HPE, Leyton also deals with Diabetes Insipidus, microcephaly, severe epilepsy, hypothyroidism, and dystonia. She is not blind, but due to small nerves, she can only see lights and shadows. Even with all of this, she is beating the 1% odds she was given. Being that she’s so unique and special, her parents long ago dubbed her their “little unicorn.”
