Claremore Veterinarian Welcomes New Associate

Dr. Edward Gilsleider, longtime owner and chief veterinarian at Animal Medical Center (you know, the fun red barn building on Highway 66, just north of Blue Starr) has hired an associate.

Dr. Amie McCarthy is a 2018 graduate of Colorado State University College of Veterinary Medicine. Dr. McCarthy is passionate about mixed animal medicine and enjoys the daily variety that it provides. A few of her many interests in veterinary medicine include companion animal internal medicine, cardiology and critical care, while her large animal interests include food animal herd health and equine lameness diagnosis.

Dr. McCarthy is previously from Hawaii, where her family still resides. In her off time, she enjoys being outdoors hiking, horseback riding and exploring Oklahoma’s beautiful lakes with her dog. Dr. McCarthy is eager to make AMC her home and looks forward to providing veterinary care to its’ clients.

If you’re out and about, stop by and welcome Dr. McCarthy!
