Claremore, What’s Better than Music and Dessert?

Shepherd’s Cross is bringing back a fun event, the Woolly Gospel Singing & Dessert Social! It will be held on Saturday, June 9, from 1p – 4p.
The afternoon will feature gospel singing and picking at the farm just north of Claremore. Families, church groups, and individuals are all welcome! Even if you’re not musically inclined, you’re invited to come listen.
Musicians needed! Bring your musical instrument, your voice and favorite songs.  Pick, sing and play together – like in the good old days! Participants who call in advance to register will be given priority.  The roster fills up quickly, but musicians will be accepted if they show up without registering. Gospel, country Christian, worship music, and hymns are all great choices. Music will be located indoors, downstairs in the Tour Barn and the Silo.
Bring a potluck dessert to share! Donations are welcome, $5 per person is suggested. This is a come-and-go event.
The “Spin-n Knit-In” will also be happening, so you’re welcome to bring a handiwork project to work on while enjoying the music.
Shepherd’s Shop will be open, featuring a host of “woolly” and farm-related handmade gifts made by Shepherd’s Cross and over 50 local crafters; farm-fresh meat, Amish jams, health foods, yarns, and much more!  Additionally, the shop features a mission section; purchases made in this section of the store return 100% of the sale price to the indigenous people who made them (countries include Afghanistan, Thailand, Kyrgyzstan, Malawi, Uganda and more).
Shepherd’s Cross features farm fresh, Animal Welfare Approved, pasture raised, free range, chemical free American lamb & beef; yarn, yarn, & more yarn – natural, chemical free, many types, produced and processed on the farm. Shepherd’s Cross also offers roving, batts, felting supplies, spinning and weaving supplies and much more.
