0

Since the summer of 2009, Volunteers for Youth’s BLAST Program has partnered with the City of Claremore to offer week-long (Monday through Friday) summer camps. This coming summer will be no exception and the first of two camps is slated for June 18-22 from 8 am to 5 pm.

The camp is based out of the Claremore Community Center and Rogers County students entering grades 4 through 8 are eligible to enroll.  Dubbed “Sports Mania”, the camps feature non-stop physical activity and enrichment exercises. The camp attendees are bused to the Claremore Super Recreation Center for some of the daily activities which include basketball, swimming, and racquetball. Trips to Laser Quest and Woodland Hills Mall also highlight the week’s plans.

For more information or to enroll, please contact Susan Jensen, BLAST Project Director for Volunteers for Youth, at 918-697-6779 or by email at susan.cj@volunteersforyouth.com  A camp fee of $100 covers the first week (June 18-22) or a $185 fee covers both the first and second week (July 23-27).
