The Claremore Alumni Association golf tournament, scheduled for Friday, April 13th, is a complete sellout, according to Ray Akin, tournament spokesman. “Support in the community has been overwhelming and all thirty-six team slots now are filled,” he said. “The tournament, dubbed ‘Friday the 13th Zebra Scramble,’ will raise money to fund $1,000 college scholarships for Claremore graduates,” said Association director Dave Burrows. “We appreciate the effort that the Class of ‘68 has made to pull this together. It’s another example that demonstrates why Claremore is such a wonderful place to live.”The tournament begins with a shotgun start at 1:00 pm. Players are encouraged to come early. “Putting for Dough” begins at 11:30. Food and drinks for all team members are included.
