If you’re in the mood to do a good deed today, why not donate to the Claremore Veterans Center? The residents there are always in need of various personal items that are easy for us to buy! (Note: Please, no sample sizes.)

The following are needed at this time:

*Denture cleaner
*Disposable razors (blue razors with 2 blades or more)
Shaving cream
*Spray deodorant
Combs and brushes

The special needs unit is asking for prizes for activities, small stuffed animals, bite-size soft candy bars, cakes, cookies, chips, trail mix (individual sizes).

The clothing room needs:

*military caps
*sweatpants and sweatshirts (small, medium, large, 2X)
*button-up short-sleeve shirts (medium, large, XL, 2X)
*button-down pullover shirts (medium, large, XL, 2X)

*signifies an item that is used frequently

bars of soap, body wash, or lotion

Donations to the Veterans War Chest finance field trip expenses, helps pay for monthly dining experiences from local restaurants, and money for prizes for some of the activities and tournaments which helps provide the vets with pop/candy/walking around money. Donors are local organizations, businesses, individuals, and families. If you are interested in donating, please contact Bert Ellard at or 918 342-5432 x366.
