Medicare Enrollment Center Now Open in Claremore

GlobalHealth, an Oklahoma-based health maintenance organization (HMO), recently announced the opening of a Medicare plan enrollment center in Claremore, Oklahoma, to assist members and prospective members in Rogers County and the surrounding area with understanding their Medicare options. The enrollment center, which is open year-round for walk-ins and appointments, is located at 119 West Blue Starr Dr. and is open Monday-Saturday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. and by appointment.

“We want to let Rogers County Medicare beneficiaries know they have options when choosing Medicare plans for the Annual Enrollment Period,” said Scott Vaughn, GlobalHealth president and CEO. “Recent news that some Rogers County Medicare beneficiaries have lost their Medicare Advantage coverage for 2018 has come as a disappointment to many in the area. We want to let the community know that we not only offer Medicare Advantage plans both with and without prescription drug coverage in Rogers County, but that we’re also a resource to answer questions during this critical time.”

In addition to one-on-one appointments at the enrollment center, GlobalHealth has opened a help line to offer assistance during Medicare’s Annual Enrollment Period through Dec. 7. Rogers County Medicare beneficiaries can call (918) 878-7204 (TTY: 711) from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. seven days a week. Calls will be answered by licensed sales representatives. Medicare Advantage plan sales events will also be available at the enrollment center Monday through Friday at 10 a.m., 2 p.m. and 6 p.m.

The Medicare Annual Enrollment Period runs from Oct. 15 – Dec. 7 and is an opportunity for Oklahoma Medicare beneficiaries to assess their current coverage and chose a different plan, if necessary.
