Claremore, iPod Shuffles are Needed!

The Claremore Veterans Center has a popular program called Music and Memory. It pairs each vet up with a free iPod, earphones and a personalized playlist of songs that make them nostalgic and happy. They collect iPod Shuffles and download music from years past that is enjoyed by their residents, especially those afflicted with dementia.

Now, it’s a sad day because Apple has discontinued the Shuffle! The Veterans Center is desperately trying to collect as many as they can. They have purchased all the devices they could find in town.

If you have an old iPod Shuffle that you are no longer using, or are considering upgrading to something newer, won’t you consider donating yours to the Veterans Center?
