Shepherd’s Cross is holding the annual Fiber Fest Weekend on June 15 – 17. Learn how to process fiber (which means any kind, but they’ll teach you with wool).

Lessons will include washing, dying, wet felting, carding, picking, spindling, spinning, needle felting, and weaving.  Students will also learn some history of fiber arts and practical technology. Each participant will take home many finished products. Shepherd’s Cross will provide materials.

Class will be held daily from 8:30a – 3:30p. Participants are welcome to stay and practice until 5:30p. Bring a sack lunch each day. Snacks and beverages will be provided twice throughout the day.

Space is limited, so call today! Sign up for all three days for a discounted price of $179, or you can do individual days for $74 each. No hidden fees, rental fees or materials fees. All are included in the weekend package.

Need a day’s respite from the challenges of life? Join us for a peace filled learning experience. Can’t seem to find the time? Join us and learn several techniques in one weekend. Need a relaxing new hobby? Fiber work is soothing and wonderful. This is a great weekend “get away” with family or friends.

Retreat will be held at Shepherd’s Cross, an authentic working farm, just north of Claremore OK on Scenic Route 66. Shepherd’s Cross hosts a mini wool mill, processing the wool from their 150 sheep on site.

Shepherd’s Cross is the only Animal Welfare Approved sheep farm in Oklahoma and processes the only Animal Welfare Approved fiber sold in the U.S. (that is chemical free, hormone free, free range, natural)
