Claremore to Honor WWII Veterans: We Need Your Help!

On Saturday, June 3, Claremore is honoring our WWII veterans with a special day at Gazebo Park. Beginning at noon, there will be a short program to recognize our veterans for their service. Mayor Flanagan will proclaim it to be WWII Veterans Day. A brief parade will take place from Cherokee Ave. to the park.

After, light refreshments will be served! This is where we need help, Claremore. Volunteers are needed to help serve our guests and provide finger foods and drinks, like cookies, doughnuts, and lemonade.

The Claremore Museum of History will also be open during this time. If you haven’t been yet, you’re missing out!

If you would like to volunteer for this special event, please call Larry Larkin at 918-341-6927 or email
