Claremore Nursing Facilities Under New Management

ER Senior Management OK, an operator of upscale senior living communities, announced today that it has assumed management of two skilled nursing facilities (SNF) in Claremore: Autumn Wood, a 60-bed skilled nursing community for memory care residents, and Wood Manor, a 129-bed skilled nursing facility.  Both facilities are located on the same campus.

Autumn Wood opened its doors in 2012 to provide the highest level of skilled nursing care exclusively to those with advanced Alzheimer’s disease and dementia and requiring specialized care. Today it is one of only three such specialized skilled nursing facilities in the state.

A 60-bed SNF, Autumn Wood is unique for its neighborhood-style living in groups of 12 private rooms, each with a private bath. The design contributes to a greater quality of life with individualized care, but without the institutional feel of a traditional nursing home.  As such, it is also more memory-friendly for those with dementia-related issues.  Autumn Wood accepts private pay and Medicare.

Built in 2006, Wood Manor is a 129-bed SNF that offers modern rehabilitation suites for both short-term rehabilitation as well as long-term care for seniors.  Wood Manor is also specially equipped to accommodate those with Alzheimer’s and other forms of dementia.  Wood Manor accepts private pay, some private insurance, Medicare and Medicaid.

“Our goal at both of these skilled nursing communities is to provide exceptional care and compassion to those we are privileged to serve,” said Will Otjen, III, Executive Director of the skilled nursing campus on which Autumn Wood and Wood Manor are located. “Both of these very special skilled nursing facilities offer exceptional care in clean and modern living environments.”

“The attention and care the staff deliver to the residents daily, as well as the outstanding relationships they maintain with the local hospitals make these two skilled nursing facilities unique and extraordinary,” said Chris Coates, Principal and Chief Executive Officer of ER Senior Management OK.  “That they are both located on the same campus is a huge plus for families with older loved ones who have unique care needs, especially as those relate to memory care.”

Wayne Wood, a generous contributor to the local community in Claremore, originally built the two skilled nursing communities and took great pride in the competence and care delivered here.

“Mr. Wood had a sense of affection for seniors which was manifest in these two communities in which he took great personal pride,” said Coates.  “He wanted an environment that presented just like home for residents and families, as well as for the staff.  We intend to manage these communities in a manner befitting Mr. Wood’s values and intent.”

ER Senior Management OK is a subsidiary of Evergreen Senior Living Properties, LLC, an owner and operator of senior living communities based in Nashville, Tenn. The company is dedicated to delivering exceptional senior living experiences, outstanding lifestyles and compassionate care specifically to senior residents seeking independent living, assisted living and skilled nursing & rehabilitation services, as well as other senior living lifestyles and services.
