Claremore resident and professional photographer Marcus Arreguin won several awards in the 2016 Tulsa State Fair photography contest. Out of six entries, five won awards and three won first place ribbons. Last year, he also won five awards including three blue ribbons.
“I am thankful to have done so well again this year. Winning first place half of the time is not bad,” Marcus said.
Marcus started a business this year called STR Creative at which he does photography work, including portraits, work for businesses, and scenic/nature photos. “Dream Wheel”. This is a long exposure photo of the Tulsa State Fair ferris wheel taken last year. This one won a first place ribbon. “I pretty much knew after taking this one that I would be entering it in the next year’s contest,” said Marcus. “If you wait and take more shots, different colors and patterns appear.” This is in the scenic gallery at photosbySTR.com.
