Claremore Police officers got together this week and began assembling and repairing bicycles for children in need as part of the Santa’s Rides program. With their collection of more than 20 bikes and helmets, they hit the streets on Friday afternoon, delivering the gifts to some lucky Claremore kids.

Police Chief Stan Brown said he hopes this establishes good relationships between police and the community.

“To help those kids understand that authority figures and other members of the community are there as a resource to help them,” Brown said.

Kudos to CPD!
