The Certified Healthy Campus Program began in 2011 in order to recognize both public and private post-secondary campuses and career technology centers that promote health and wellness for their employees, students, and visitors.
The certification recognizes RSU’s efforts in actively creating a safe and healthy environment for the University’s students, faculty, staff and visitors.
“We are happy to be recognized for the health promotion work we do on campus in an effort to keep students, staff and faculty healthy,” said RSU Student Health Center Director Lisa Martin, R.N.
RSU maintains a Student Health Center offering a variety of free services to the campus including flu shots, cancer screenings, cholesterol screenings, as well as walk-in doctor visits. Personal, confidential counseling services are also available to students at no charge. In addition, all RSU campuses have been tobacco free since 2012.
