With Thanksgiving approaching and cooler temps arriving, along with all things PUMPKIN, why not go over the benefits of pumpkin seeds? They contain a wide variety of nutrients ranging from magnesium and manganese to copper, protein and zinc. Pumpkin seeds are nutritional powerhouses wrapped up in a very small package.

BENEFITS
1⃣Prostate Health for Men – get your man eating pumpkin seeds because of their high zinc content, which is important for prostate health.
2⃣Anti Diabetic Effects – Studies suggest pumpkin seeds may help improve insulin regulation and help prevent diabetic complications by decreasing oxidative stress.
3⃣For all my women at there who are POST MENOPAUSAL, seeds contain natural phytoestrogens and studies suggest it may lead to a significant increase in good “HDL” cholesterol along with decreases in blood pressure, hot flashes, headaches, joint pains and other menopausal symptoms. YEAH!
4⃣Tryptophan for Sleep – we all know this sleep chemical creeps in after our Thanksgiving meal. Eating pumpkin seeds a few hours before bed, along with a carbohydrate like a small piece of fruit, may be especially beneficial for providing your body the tryptophan to help promote a restful night’s sleep.

So go grab some seeds today and try a QUARTER CUP for a healthy fall pumpkin snack. And notice, nothing was mentioned about driving through Starbucks.
