Claremore Brings Home Prestigious Tourism Awards

ionok1400176882On May 13, 2014, Visit Claremore received the prestigious RedBud Award for “Best Brochure or Publication- 11 pages or more” for their Visitors Guide by the Oklahoma Travel Industry Association. Open to all Oklahoma tourism entities, the RedBud Awards represent the highest honor given in the Oklahoma tourism industry. moreClaremore was the winner in the Best Website category.

The special gala, emceed by Lt. Governor Todd Lamb and “Discover Oklahoma” host Jennifer Reynolds, awarded twenty-eight entries in sixteen categories. The awards recognize Oklahoma’s top tourism attractions, events, programs and organizations for outstanding efforts to serve and promote Oklahoma’s tourism industry.

All entries were evaluated by a slate of tourism professionals on specific criteria including customer service and experience, marketing effectiveness, media relations, variety of audiences reached, value, and overall creativity.

“This year’s Visitors Guide showcases Historic Route 66 with a beautiful front cover design adapted from a photo by Blake Shaw,” said Tanya Andrews, Executive Director of Visit Claremore. “We are proud that the judges loved our Visitors Guide as much as we do.”

The Visitors Guide provides information on shopping, dining, our world-class museums, events and more! The guides are distributed at travel shows, mailings, special events, and are available for download online.
