Last week, the Claremore Zebras track team hit the road for the state meet in Yukon. There were some impressive results!
There was quite a group that qualified for State.
Our boys won FIRST in the 3200m relay! No big surprise, as they recently broke the school record at Regionals with a time of 8:03!
Kade Edwards, Tyler Jackon, Truman Burrage and Rande Williams are members of the first place 3200m (2 mile) relay team.
Claremore placed third in the 1600m (1 mile) relay.
Truman Burrage earned fifth place in the 800m open with a fantastic time of 1:58.2.
Fifth place in the high jump went to Paige Burns!
Tyler Jackson placed first in the 200m dash.
And then Tyler Jackson broke the record for the 400m dash. He’s pictured here with the man who has held the record since 1986.
Kudos and congrats to all of the Zebras who participated at State! Excellent job to all!
