st. patrickDust off your kilts and green clothing.  St. Patrick’s Day is less than two weeks away, and downtown Claremore is ready to celebrate.  The fun St. Patty’s Party will happen on March 14th from 6 to 9 in the evening, and the Bangers & Mash Lunch will feed the festive on Monday, March 17th from 11 AM to 1 PM.

The St. Patty’s Party returns to Will Rogers Boulevard for another year with Irish food and beverages, Celtic music, and dancing.  Vintage Wildflowers, Hells Fringe Board Band, and Timothy O’Brian’s Celtic Cheer will grace downtown with music, while Goode Academy of Irish Dance shares their creative footwork for all to see.

This party doesn’t stop there.  Our downtown shops are encouraged to remain open throughout St. Patty’s Party for your convenience and chance to be the winner of our Pot-o-Gold Giveaway.  Now through the end of the party, you can enter to win at any of our participating downtown merchants.  Whoever wins will receive over $300 in shopping dollars.  The drawing will be held at 1 PM on Monday, March 17th, following Bangers & Mash.

March 17th – the actual date of St. Patrick’s Day – will mark a feast fit for any Irishman.  Bangers & Mash, our annual lunch of Irish sausage and mashed potatoes, will be open to the public from 11 AM to 1 PM in the parking lot of Claremore Daily Progress.  Music from Timothy O’Brian’s Celtic Cheer and Whisky Rebellion will accompany this feast.  This traditional Irish meal, including a drink and dessert, will be available for purchase at an affordable $6.  The lunch activities will end with the traditional sidewalk parade.

Claremore Main Street will also be selling commemorative t-shirts for $10 each.  Purchasing a t-shirt will get you $1 off your Bangers & Mash lunch this year and at future Bangers & Mash lunches. You can learn more about this Claremore Main Street event by calling (918) 341-5881, or emailing mainstreet@claremore.org.  Be sure to check us out online at www.downtownclaremore.org or www.facebook.com/downtownclaremore.
