CHS Winterguard Takes 1st in Competition

1903180_10152233606428967_70851037_nThe Claremore High School Winterguard took 1st place in their class this past Saturday at the Sapulpa competition, held at Sapulpa High School. Winterguard is referred to as the “Sport of the Arts” due to the equally athletic and artistic nature of the activity.

The guard is graded by a panel of six judges in a variety of aspects, including design analysis, equipment analysis, movement and general effect. Many judges are professionally trained in music, dance and theatre and use that knowledge to enhance the performances through one on one critique meetings after performances.

Congratulations to the CHS Winterguard!

Go, Zebras!
